Will my home be ready in time for my move?
Although move-in dates can sometimes differ from the set completion dates, we always suggest approximate completion time frames that are as close to reality as possible. And we’ll give you frequent updates throughout the build so you’re always in the know.
What happens after I move in?
Besides getting to enjoy your beautiful new home, you’ll be well looked after by our dedicated aftercare team in case of any issues or emergencies.
Do you have any properties to rent?
We have no properties for rent. All our properties are only available to buy.
Are YCP properties Freehold or Leasehold?
All YCP properties are offered on Freehold.
What do I get with my newly built YCP home?
With YCP, you’ll find unique, contemporary new builds nestled in prime locations across Yorkshire. And depending on when in the build process you buy, you’ll have the opportunity to select the finish of your home’s interior from the range of top quality materials we offer.
What’s included in my home warranty?
YCP properties come with a 10 year Premier Guarantee starting from the day you complete your purchase. We also offer a two-year period to do any snagging works or repairs. Click here or contact us to find out more.
Are there any additional costs to pay for the property?
Generally, there is an estate charge of around £120 for the maintenance of the public spaces and landscape area.
What is the reservation fee?
We ask for around £1000 in reservation fees to reserve a property in your name. This amount is taken off your final balance at completion and can be refunded if you don’t proceed with the purchase, only if we have not incurred any additional costs in the process.
Can YCP offer any financial support?
As part of the Starter Home scheme, we offer a 20% reduction from open market value to eligible first time buyers, as agreed with the local council. We can also put you in touch with our trusted Independent Financial Advisor if you’re looking for mortgage advice.
Can I buy my own appliances?
While you can bring in a lot of your own appliances to your new home, some appliances are included in the purchase, depending on which property you buy.
Can I use my own conveyancer?
You can. However, we insist on exchanging within six to eight weeks which means your chosen professional must be familiar with new-build conveyancing.
Do you use the bricks and mortar or the timber frame method to build?
We use both. Some properties are bricks and mortar, while others have a timber frame.
